 Can I take the physical exam in Japan?
A:  Yes, we can arrange for you to take the exam in Tokyo.

Q:  Does Occidental Underwriters of Hawaii have an office in Japan?
A:  Yes, we have a service office that is located in Tsukiji.  In fact, we have had an office in Tokyo since 1955.

Q:  How do my beneficiaries receive payment should I pass away?
A:  We have bilingual staff to assist your beneficiaries should there be a death claim.  We have been assisting beneficiaries with claims for over 40 years.

Q:  What is meant by U.S. compliant?
A:  The product that you purchase from us is the same product that someone purchases in Florida, California, Colorado, or Hawaii.

Q:  Why U.S. life insurance?
A:  Premiums are very competitive and from a financially solid company.  They are AA rated by Standard and Poors for financial strength as of April 2005.  AA is the third highest of 21 ratings awarded by Standard and Poors.

Q:  How can I make premium payments?
A:  All payments must be made by wire transfer, postal money order, monthly draft out of a dollar checking account, or personal check.

Q:  Will my death benefit be paid even if I have other coverage?
A:  Yes, as long as the application process was truthful and your policy was approved.  However, in most jurisdictions, in the event of suicide during the first two policy years, death benefits are limited only to the return of premiums paid.

Q:  Can I convert my term coverage?
A:  Yes, at any time contractually up to insured's 70th birthday, you can convert to a permanent policy, unlike many group coverages provided by employers, that have limited flexibility should you leave the company.
